“Married at First Sight: Australia” premieres on Lifetime Wednesday, March 30 at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT. This is the American premiere of the series, as the show has previously aired overseas. You can also watch the show on Philo.
The show, according to Lifetime, follows singles who are on their way to finding love and have agreed to this social experiment of marrying a stranger. The couples have been matched based on their personality traits and wants in a relationship. Those who have done the matchmaking are relationship experts John Aiken, Mel Schilling, and clinical sexologist Alessandra Rampolla.

The singles will meet for the first time at the altar and decide if they want to go through with the wedding or not. If they proceed, the show will follow them throughout their honeymoon as the couples get to know one another. They will find out how the other lives, what their hobbies are and other quirks about their personalities. The season follows several couples, so they will all interact with one another as they will all be honeymooning in a shared location.
When the honeymoon is over, the couples will go back to their everyday lives and have to decide how they live together and what their future will look like. At the end of the social experiment, each couple must decide if they’ll live happily ever after of if they’ll get a legal divorce. Before the big decision, the couples will have the chance to compare the highs and lows of their relationships at the dramatic “Dinner Parties” and seek guidance from the experts at the weekly “Commitment Ceremonies,” where secrets are revealed, and bombshells are dropped.
The series originally aired in Australia in January 2022, but will make its American debut this week. (If you’d like to avoid spoilers, stay off Twitter!)
