How to watch the 2022 Grammy awards – Orlando Sentinel

Though the Academy Awards telecast (March 27) generally signals the end of awards season on TV, this year is a little different with the 2022 Grammy Awards ceremony now closing out the season on April 3. The ceremony was originally scheduled for Jan. 31 but was postponed and quickly slotted into the post-Oscars weekend amid the omicron COVID-19 surge earlier this year.
The 2022 Grammy Awards ceremony will air locally on CBS affiliate WKMG Channel 6 beginning at 8 p.m. Cord cutters can also stream the telecast live on Paramount+ or with a live TV subscription through either YouTube TV or Hulu.
This year’s most-nominated artists include Jon Batiste, Justin Bieber, H.E.R., Doja Cat, Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo. “The Daily Show” host Trevor Noah is back for the second year in a row as master of ceremonies for the broadcast.
Superstars BTS, Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, Lil Nas X with Jack Harlow, Brandi Carlile, and Brothers Osborne have all been confirmed to perform at next week’s ceremony.

One star who will not be performing this year is Ye (the artist formerly known as Kanye West), whose performance has been canceled amid “concerning online behavior” according to a statement from the artist’s representatives. Ye is nominated for five Grammys this year, including album of the year and best rap song. It is unknown if the artist will attend the ceremony, especially since his feud with host Noah resulted in a 24-hour Instagram ban last week.
Before the telecast kicks off, music fans can watch the Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony, which will stream live beginning at 3 p.m. on the official Grammys website and the Recording Academy’s YouTube channel. More than 70 awards will be announced during this streaming-only broadcast for categories including classical, jazz, R&B, global music and more.
Music fans looking to catch up with the nominees from this year can check out the official 2022 Grammy Awards Playlist, available now on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and Pandora.
