Earn, Alfred, and Darius are back and you have two (!) places to catch them.
Nearly four years have passed since we last had a catch up with Donald Glover’s Atlanta. When we left Earn, Alfred, and Darius, the group was staring down several crossroads. Van was considering taking Lottie and moving in with her mom. A European tour was on the horizon. Earn slipped a gun in Clark’s bag at the airport. In short, everything was turned on its head.
Atlanta has always taken its time from the writing and production standpoint, but when you factor in COVID-19 plus the fact that most of this season of Atlanta is supposed to take place in Europe, well, this four year wait is not all that shocking. The world changes a lot in four years! We have a new president! There have been two Olympics! Most things you watch on FX can be streamed on Hulu!
Perhaps that last bit is the most important, at least when it comes to watching Atlanta. For the most committed of fans, Season Three of Atlanta premieres on March 24 at 10 p.m. ET on FX. Then immediately following, at 10:50 p.m., the second episode will air. After four years off the air, that’s the least that FX can give us, right?
If your excitement about Earn’s big European adventure can wait until the next day, episodes of the series will also be released on Hulu at 4 a.m. the following day. And then in subsequent weeks, single episodes will premiere on FX at 10 p.m., with Hulu episodes following the same 4 a.m. Friday schedule. The season, scheduled to be 10 episodes long, will come to a conclusion on May 19.
So watch that Season Two finale and get yourself caught up before diving into Paper Boi’s big European tour.
