How To Get ‘Cyberpunk 2077’ Patch 1.52’s New Legendary Ballistic Armor – Forbes

Cyberpunk 2077
Cyberpunk 2077 rolled out patch 1.52 yesterday, which was mainly just a lot of bug fixes, but they couldn’t resist adding something of actual substance in there, a new legendary piece of gear with lore attached that all players should be able to go get right now. I just got mine.
Where do you find Cyberpunk 2077’s Laminate-Armor Media Ballistic Vest? I’ll show you. First you’re going to head here on the map, which is the stop for the upper level of the area near where the big parade mission took place. You want to head down to the ground level and circle the block until you find an alley.

You’ll know you’re in the right place because there will be a Tiger Claws logo there, and then you keep going.

You will soon find yourself staring at a graffiti covered garage opening that you used in some old side quest I forget the name of.

From there, you head left, where you are technically going onto a balcony, but it’s actually on ground level so you don’t need to go high. There will be a package on the ground containing the Laminate-Armor Media Ballistic Vest and a little story shard to go with it.

The vest has a little bit of lore attached to it with flavor text, and it comes with two mod slots, including one that is 17% explosion reduction damage, a built-in legendary mod. We have seen armor patched in during past updates, but things like the MaxTac armor was bad with low rarity and few mod slots. This is much better than that.

The 1.5 update before this gave us a lot of new weapons for completing different quests for fixers around the city, but no actual new legendary armor from what I can tell, which was not a focus of that patch. This is some new loot you can score with what I believe are effectively zero requirements, you just have to be able to locate it. I’m not entirely clear on if this was supposed to be a quest reward that was missing from the game, or just something fun they put in there, but it’s a wholly unique item and worth picking up as you continue on your adventures around Night City.
Now, we sit around and hope for an update about the coming expansion which will hopefully have a lot of new armor and clothing, considering how little we’ve gotten to date. Oh, and I’d like a transmog system for good measure while we’re here.
