On Sunday, March 13, the Celtics will honor Kevin Garnett by raising his number to the rafters in a special ceremony when the Celtics face the Dallas Mavericks in a marquee matchup.
The special ceremony will take place following the conclusion of Sunday’s game.
Over six seasons with the Celtics, Garnett averaged 15.7 points and 8.3 rebounds per game and, most notably, helped lead the team to the 2008 NBA title, the 17th in franchise history.

Garnett’s No. 5 will be the 24th number the Celtics honor with a retirement ceremony.

Celtics vs. Mavericks will air nationally on ABC in the United States. Viewers in Canada can watch Celtics vs. Mavericks on Sportsnet One.

Celtics vs. Mavericks is scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m. ET on Sunday. As the second half of an ABC doubleheader, the game will tip off shortly following the conclusion of a game between the Knicks and Nets.
